Malik riaz hussain, the chairman of Bahria town, recently kick-started the  construction work for Pakistan’s biggest stadium with a capacity of more than 50000 people at one time. Malik riaz hussain, who is a renowned philanthropist and business tycoon, wish and hope that the International stadium will start into operation within two years.

Malik Riaz Hussain also confirmed that the construction will not only encourage the sports activities in the country, but will also bring a wholesome opportunity and prosperity in the country whilst promoting business and education at the same time. The inauguration ceremony was been attended by some of the known faces in the cricket world from Karachi, like  Zaheer Abbas, Javed Miandad, Shoaib Muhammad, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi and Fawad Alam.

Beside some of its top notch features, the stadium is equipped with all the facilities according to the international standard stated by ICC such like floodlights, digital scoreboards, LED screens, indoor training facilities, and a hostel. Malik Riaz Hussain also stated that the stadium will not only promote the sport of cricket, but also other sports like hockey and football.

As per the official statement released by Bahria town, Malik riaz said, “The Rafi Cricket Stadium will be built in one and a half years to revive international cricket in Pakistan within the next two years. Not only cricket, we want to revive football and hockey as well. We want to create more employment and business opportunities, spread education to build a prosperous Pakistan.” 

Malik riaz hussain, who also comes as one of the most known philanthropists in the country, stated that there will also be a five-star hotel built right adjacent to the stadium. He further kick started his plans to create more sanitary awareness within the people and make the whole city to progress towards a better and cleaner Karachi.

“We are also building a highly secured five-star hotel (Hyatt Regency), which will be completed with the stadium. It’s very painful to see so much garbage on the streets and we are committed to do whatever we can to rid Karachi of this filth. By virtue of our foolproof security, the residents of Bahria Town Karachi are enjoying a complete sense of security in their gateless homes.” said Malik riaz.

He further concluded his statement by saying that the whole ceremony for the inauguration of the stadium is been lit by the presence of some very famous current and former cricketers.”It’s good to see my favorite cricket stars at this ceremony; I can’t wait to see international players in action. This stadium will promote women cricket, I’m sure.” It will be interesting to see how this initiative will help bring international cricket back to Pakistan’, Malik riaz quoted.
